Aura Silver Resources Inc. is focussing its efforts on two projects that we believe are situated on some of the most prospective silver ground in North America. The jurisdictions that we operate in provide safe legal and political environments for mining companies. Aura Silver's flagship silver property, the Taviche project, is located in the San Jose Mining District, Oaxaca, Mexico where the Company has identified an extensively mineralized jasperoid zone at surface. Recent drill results include 533 grams/tonne (g/t) silver equivalent over 12.1 meters. This phase I drill program was completed during August 2009 with a second phase of drilling to follow. The phase II program is designed to confirm the initial results and to test for continuity of the mineralized zone along strike. Perseverance is paying off on Aura Silver's second silver property, the Greyhound Lake project, located in Nunavut, Canada where recent prospecting uncovered numerous surface showings assaying up to 28 g/t gold, 3,400 g/t silver, 9.2% copper and 18.5% zinc. These showings lie along a continuous iron formation confined within a virtually unexplored portion of an Archean greenstone belt. Archean greenstones in Canada have historically been hosts of most of Canada's producing precious metal and copper-zinc ore bodies. In the fall of 2009, the Company will fly a second airborne electro-magnetic survey to confirm drill targets for a proposed spring 2010 drill campaign. | Jul 19, 2010: Aura Silver Drills Deeper and Discovers Gold Below Near-Surface Silver, Hig...
